Χωρίς αιδώ, η διοργανώτρια εταιρία της ITB, Messe Berlin, χθες το βράδυ (!!!) ανήρτησε στον ιστότοπό της, την διοργάνωση της έκθεσης τον Μάρτιο του 2021, λίγες μόνο ώρες μετά την πρωτοφανή απόφασή της να ματαιώσει κυριολεκτικά στο “και πέντε” την φετινή διοργάνωση, κατηγορώντας την γερμανική κυβέρνηση, σε μια προσπάθεια να αποσείσει τις ευθύνες από την ίδια και να αποκρούσει τις αποζημιώσεις που θα κληθεί να καταβάλλει και τα ενοίκια και τις προκαταβολές για παροχή υπηρεσιών, που έχει εισπράξει.
Παράλληλα, απέστειλε επιστολές σε εκθέτες, να προχωρήσουν σε άμεση αποξήλωση των έτοιμων περιπτέρων, ζητώντας μάλιστα και εγγύηση 200 ευρώ (!!!) για την είσοδο των συνεργείων.
Για το θέμα των εκκρεμμοτήτων, των αποζημιώσεων και της επιστροφής χρημάτων, που θα κληθεί να κάνει, γράφει αόριστα: “Η ομάδα της ITB Berlin εκφράζει τη βαθιά της λύπη για τις περιστάσεις. Οι διοργανωτές κατανοούν ότι οι συμμετέχοντες έχουν ερωτήσεις σχετικά με πιθανές συνέπειες. Λόγω του χρονοδιαγράμματος της ακύρωσης, σας ζητάμε λοιπόν να κατανοήσετε ότι πρέπει πρώτα να εξεταστούν όλες οι λεπτομερείς ερωτήσεις σχετικά με την ITB Berlin και τις θυγατρικές της. Θα σας ενημερώσουμε μόλις υπάρχουν διαθέσιμες, νέες πληροφορίες”. Ενώ για όσους ζητούν δικαιολογημένα απαντήσεις άμεσα, τονίζει: “Ζητάμε να κατανοήσετε ότι λόγω της εξαιρετικής κατάστασης μπορεί να υπάρξουν καθυστερήσεις στην απάντηση των ερωτήσεων”.
Η επιστολή
Η επιστολή που προκάλεσε αλγεινή εντύπωση στους εκθέτες, ΚΑΙ Η ΟΠΟΙΑ ΚΟΙΝΟΠΟΙΗΘΗΚΕ ΣΤΙΣ 22.25 (σ.σ. έχουμε το σχετικό αποδεικτικό υλικό), μόλις δύο ώρες μετά την ακύρωση, έχει ως εξής:
“Unfortunately we have to inform you that ITB Berlin 2020 will not take place.
Due to the rapid spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) the Federal Ministry of Health and the Federal Ministry of Economics of Germany have stated their opinion that ITB Berlin will be cancelled. The responsible health authority of the district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf in Berlin imposed significantly tighter restrictions on holding the event with immediate effects. Among its requirements the authority stipulated that each participant would need to prove to Messe Berlin that they were not from a designated risk area or had not been in contact with a person or persons from a risk area. It is not possible for Messe Berlin to satisfy these requirements overall.
Messe Berlin had for weeks made it known that a decision on holding or cancelling large-scale events would only be taken based on the recommendations or instructions of the relevant specialist authorities. Only they possess the necessary information and specialist knowledge in order to draw the right conclusions.
The ITB Berlin team deeply regrets the circumstances. The organizers understand that the participants have questions about possible consequences. Due to the timing of the cancellation we therefore ask for your understanding that all detailed questions concerning ITB Berlin and its subsidiaries must first be examined. We will inform you as soon as new information becomes available.
IMPORTANT: Please inform your stand constructors & service providers independently and immediately about the cancellation of ITB Berlin and the following important information:
During the night from February 28th to 29th, stand dismantling is allowed all night long free of charge. Please fill in the attached document and send it to [email protected]
The regular dismantling regulations will apply from 29 February onwards: This means that dismantling is allowed between 7 am – 10 pm. Access is analogous to the traffic guidelines https://www.itb-berlin.de/media/itb/itb_dl_en/itb_exhibitors/traffic_guide.pdf
The entrance on the evening of February 28th is possible via Gate 9 and Gate 25 for a deposit (200,- EUR, to be paid in cash).
As of February 29, the regulations of the ITB Berlin 2020 traffic guide will continue to apply, and access to the grounds will be possible from 7 am to 10 pm against a deposit (200,- EUR, to be paid in cash).
Walking access to the grounds is possible from 7 am – 10 pm via entrances 7 and 21. From 29 February onwards, the regulations of the ITB Berlin traffic guide will apply analogously. Assembly and dismantling passes are to be filled out and shown before.
The end of dismantling will be on Saturday, 07 March 2020, 10pm.

Την στιγμή που όλα (δυστυχώς) αναβάλλονται ή
ακυρώνονται γύρω μας,άρα και γυρω σας εσείς τα “έχετε βάλει” (κατ’επανάληψη!!) με την ITB Berlin…. Λαθος.
Καλημέρα σας και καλό μήνα. Η κριτική έχει να κάνει με την μεθόδευση της ακύρωσης. Θυμηθείτε παρακαλώ ότι 2 μόλις ημέρες πριν η ΙΤΒ εξέδωσε ανακοίνωση με την οποία ενημέρωνε ότι η έκθεση θα γίνει κανονικά.
Και περίμεναν μέχρι το βράδυ της Παρασκευής για να ανακοινώσουν την ακύρωση, με αλληλοκατηγορίες. Αν αυτό εσάς σας φαίνεται κανονικό, κανένα θέμα. Εμάς όχι. Το Σαλόνι της Γενεύης ήδη ανακοίνωσε την ακύρωση. Δεν περίμενε 3 ημέρες πριν, έχοντας ανακοινώσει ότι θα γίνει κανονικά. Και άλλα πολλά. Τελευταίο αλλά όχι ασήμαντο, η ΙΤΒ πριν ανακοινώσει τι θα κάνει με τα χρήματα που έχει ήδη εισπράξει και άλλα πολλά σημαντικά του είδους, φρόντισε 2 ώρες μετά την ακύρωση, να ανεβάσει στην ιστοσελίδα της, την διοργάνωση του 2021… Αυτό συνιστά πρόσκληση απέναντι σε 150.000 ανθρώπους που μπήκαν σε κόπους και έξοδα.
