As of December 20, 2016, we commenced the operation of the New Centralised Passenger Security Check Point at the Intra Schengen Area of the Main Terminal Building.
By carefully considering all factors ranging from security, facilitation and human factors to operational requirements, the passenger screening process is now optimised in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and quality of services.
The new set up of the centralised Intra Schengen screening check point provides functional solutions with its 17 passenger flows and new technologies such as the automated boarding card control. The aim is to upgrade the airport’s services to the travelling public by utilising the most flexible layout arrangement, faster processing of the flows and a significantly upgraded environment.
