BREAKING NEWS: Three major hotels “directed” to the Grylos Group – IOGR

Three important hotels in Rhodes and Platamonas are “directed” to the Yannis Grylos – IOGR group, which according to exclusive information from ΜΟΝΕΥ & TOURISM, was declared the preferred bidder in a tender of a systemic bank for the sale of the loans it holds.

This is an important move, which is part of the Group’s overall strategy, as Mr. Grylos has stated, “IOGR Group includes the acquisition of hotel units with a large number of rooms, in areas covered by air connection, in its strategic development plan for the coming years, continuing its dynamic expansion in the tourism sector. Our Group’s objective is to strengthen synergies that contribute to the creation of even greater added value in the overall tourism product, while the acquisition of high-volume hotel units has now become one of our immediate priorities. In the context of our Group’s activities, we achieve significant synergies and economies of scale, as well as optimal management of business risk. This allows us to be a preferred interlocutor in transactions involving hotel assets.”

According to the same information, the tender from the Bank has been running recently and the Grylos Group has won the bid, offering the highest amount for the three four-star hotels (two in Rhodes and one in Platamonas), which have a significant number of rooms.

It is recalled that the historic hotel Aktia of the company ANTHOUSA, in Stalis, Heraklion, Crete, and now I Resort, had ended up in the hands of the Skyserv company of the Grylos group, following an auction accelerated by Piraeus Bank. At the time, a record amount of EUR 18.1039 million was given.

The hotel had hosted personalities of the domestic and global elite, such as Andreas Papandreou and the leader of the Social Democratic Party and Prime Minister of Sweden, Ulf Palme. The hotel, which has been radically renovated, offers Gold Club and Comfort Club accommodation (227 rooms, Junior Suites and Suites), two outdoor freshwater pools, 1800 sqm terrace. around the pools, private beach, Spa Center,Business Center, numerous restaurants (main restaurant ‘Joy’, A-La Carte restaurant ‘Bliss’, Aithrio restaurant, etc.), amphitheater, gym, tennis court, beauty center, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, etc.
