On 1 October, a national demonstration organised by the trade unions of security workers in Belgium will take place. Brussels Airlines has therefore taken the decision to cancel most of its flights on 1 October. Passengers will be informed and will make new reservations as soon as possible.
The airline will offer an alternative flight schedule and will make every effort to ensure that everyone reaches their destination with the minimum possible delay. This may be a flight on an earlier departure date, on a later date or on the same day via another Lufthansa Group hub.
Interested passengers will receive an alternative flight by mail and will be able to accept this alternative flight with a simple click. Therefore, the airline encourages its passengers to check their contact details in the “My Booking” section of its website.
On the same page, passengers can also check the status of their reservation. They can also get information through the chat assistant or through their travel agent.
Brussels Airlines has today reinforced its Service Centres to have maximum capacity to assist passengers who need further assistance.
The airline thanks all concerned passengers for their patience and understanding.
Brussels Airlines apologises to all those whose travel plans have been disrupted by these industrial action and thanks all its staff members for their tremendous efforts to find solutions for all its passengers.
