Confidence in travel bounces back as TUI prepares for bumper bookings

ORGANIZATIONS TOURISM

This weekend will mark the biggest booking day for travel since before the pandemic with the UK’s leading tour operator, TUI, preparing for a bumper post payday weekend.

Katie McAlister, Chief Marketing Officer for TUI UK & Ireland commented: “Overseas travel is officially back on the map with renewed confidence releasing pent up demand for sunshine holidays. Appetite to travel is stronger than ever and customers who may not have been abroad for more than two years are now taking advantage of flexible booking and payment options, as well as some excellent deals, to book a well-deserved summer break. And after such uncertainty, the assurance and convenience of a package has never been more important or attractive.”

Recent changes in UK testing requirements and lifting of general COVID restrictions have already triggered an uptick in search and bookings which is expected to increase significantly over the weekend. TUI’s flexible amendment policies and a cast iron Holiday Promise have helped make the brand one of the most trusted in the UK and low deposits and direct debit payments make it easy for customers to snap up pay day deals.

Teams across TUI retail stores are ready to help customers choose their ideal summer breaks with The Balearics, The Canaries, Turkey, and Mexico set to be the most popular choice for both in-store and on-line bookings.

As well as an unrivalled range of accommodation and destinations to choose from customers can use code SALE to save up to £300 per booking on Summer 2022 holidays or code WINTER to save £100 on Winter 2022 holidays departing up to and including 31 March 2022. Minimum spend and terms and conditions apply.

TUI’s Top 10 Best-Selling Destinations are:
