This seems to have been mostly driven by strong enquiries from couples since it also topped that ranking as a new entrant, while it was also well-placed in the family ranking. Second in the overall Greece ranking was the Pilot Beach Resort, also on Crete, followed by the Euro Village Achilleas on Kos.
In Turkey, the Royal Dragon retained top spot ahead of two fast risers, the J’Adore Deluxe, up from sixth, and the Sun Connect Sea World, which had been eighth in the previous fortnight.
The Spain ranking was again headed by the Aparthotel Protur Floriana Resort in Cala Bona on the east coast of Majorca followed by the Iberostar Club Cala Barca and the Prinsotel La Pineda in Cala Ratjada.
The fvw Hotelometer is a fortnightly ranking of the most popular tourist hotels in Turkey, Spain and Greece, showing customer enquiries but not actual bookings. It is based on all enquiries in the Traveltainment reservations system used by German travel agents and online booking engines. The data, supplied by IT company TrevoTrend, is split into different categories (overall, families, couples, singles and star ratings).
