Navarino Agora, the interactive, multicultural space of Costa Navarino, open to all those living in or visiting Messinia, starts today with a full programme of events showcasing culture, arts, fashion and gastronomy.
Navarino Agora will celebrate Easter, with the decoration and the procession of the Epitaph on Good Friday and the Resurrection Procession on Holy Saturday, while the restaurants will create special Easter menus. Contemporary music by DJ Elias Fasos will fill the space on Easter Sunday, with the festive atmosphere continuing on Easter Monday at the Cocktail Street Party organised by W Costa Navarino. Navarino Agora guests will have the opportunity to enjoy live music from 17:30 from The Swingin’ Cats band, alongside a cocktail workshop and lessons in the art of flower arranging from the Athenian concept store Kopria.
CULTURAL EVENTS
History lessons from Maria Efthymiou
On 23 & 24 May at 19:00, the well-known historian, author and professor Maria Euthymiou will give two exclusive lectures. On the topics “Solitude or Community: Group and Individual Life in Human History” and “Shipping, Society, Economy: The Role of the Sea in World History”, Maria Euthymiou will analyse key issues, linking them to the contemporary era.
Suggestions for book lovers
From May to September, in collaboration with Martins shop, a book fair will offer visitors every week a wide range of choices, from classic literature to contemporary best sellers.
International dance and music meetings
As part of the collaboration between the Kalamata International Dance Festival and the Captain Vassilis & Carmen Konstantakopoulos Foundation, the Navarino Agora will host performances and workshops of the 30th Anniversary Festival. Also, in June and August, the audience will enjoy classical music concerts with young international soloists.
‘Exhibition of contemporary art
From June to September, in collaboration with the Iliopoulos Museum, an exhibition of contemporary art will be hosted with works by the internationally renowned artist PAVLOS as well as an art tour in the Navarino Agora premises with sculptures by Martha Dimitropoulou, Dionysis Christofilogiannis and Ilias Christopoulos.
WINE AND COCKTAIL FESTIVAL
Promotion of local wine
The Messinia Terroirs Wine Festival organized by the Captain Vassilis & Carmen Konstantakopoulos Foundation will take place for the second year on 14-17 June, introducing visitors to Greek and international wine varieties through the presence of local wineries. Lectures, educational activities, artistic events and film screenings will accompany the festival, aiming to promote the wines of Messinia and the multifaceted regeneration of a place with deep roots in viticulture.
Top Greek bars at the 1st Cocktail Festival
From 5 to 7 July, in collaboration with W Costa Navarino, renowned bars and bartenders will present signature cocktails. The leading BarroNegro, The Clumsies, The Bar in Front of The Bar and 42, will be at Navarino Agora for a unique experience, accompanied by live acts from DJ Myronas, Shaya and DJ Nick Devon.
FASHION DEMONSTRATORS
A weekend dedicated to fashion
On June 8 and 9, Navarino Agora in collaboration with OZON organizes a weekend of workshops and fashion shows, selected clothes, accessories and artworks highlighting new fashion brands and emerging Greek designers.
Melissa Odabash store opening & celebration of Greek designers for the 10 years of Apoella
Renowned beachwear designer Melissa Odabash will be at her eponymous store at Navarino Agora on June 13, giving visitors styling tips for their summer looks. Apoella will celebrate its 10th anniversary on July 24 with an exclusive two-day event dedicated to Greek designers, hosting internationally acclaimed Greek brands such as Ancient Greek Sandals, Callista Crafts and Zeus + Dione.
Celebrating the longest day of the year
The summer solstice will be celebrated on June 21 by the handmade jewellery and accessories brand ARTISUN, presenting its new collection, while giving visitors the opportunity to create unique jewellery and bags.

Gastronomy is an integral part of the visitor’s experience at Navarino Agora, with a variety of venues including restaurants with Mediterranean and fusion cuisine, street food with seafood, flavours from Greece and the Middle East, ice creams and a variety of drinks and wines.
