Fraport: injury on boarding of passengers with reduced mobility at Kefalonia airport | Investigation ongoing

On Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Kefalonia’s “Anna Pollatos” Airport, which is managed and operated by Fraport Greece, an incident of injury occurred during the boarding of three passengers with reduced mobility on a flight to Athens, the company said in a statement, without specifying what exactly has happened.

According to the short statement, “The airport’s competent services and security teams, as well as the 359 Public Service Aviation Squadron (PSA), were immediately activated, providing first aid to passengers. At the same time, an ambulance of the National Emergency Aid Centre (EKAB) was called, which arrived immediately at the scene and transported the passengers to the General Hospital of Kefalonia for further medical evaluation.

Fraport Greece has been at the side of the injured from the very first moment, ensuring immediate assistance and support, while the services of Kefalonia Airport “Anna Pollatos” are closely cooperating with the competent authorities and the Civil Aviation Authority to investigate the causes of the incident.”
