Tour operators in Germany have agreed various sales and marketing partnerships with destinations and airlines.

FTI has teamed up with Dutch low-cost airline Transavia in a sales and marketing deal for its new low-cost flights from Munich which start at the end of March. FTI will sell seats on Transavia flights to city and beach destinations (including Spain and Portugal) and will support the airline with diverse marketing activities.

DER Touristik is expanding its incoming agency network in Asia with a new partner in Vietnam. Go Vacation Vietnam is a joint venture between Go Vacation Thailand, one of several DER Touristik-owned incoming agencies in Asia, and local company Buffalo Tours. “With the joint venture of the two market leaders we can offer our customers an even more comprehensive service. In addition, we are creating an excellent strategic launching-pad for future expansion in the Asian region,” said Michael Kimmer, CEO DMC & Hotels DER Touristik Group.

TUI Germany will launch a new module to its travel agency reservations system Iris Plus in April to make it easier for agents to book destination excursions and activities, including real-time availability checks.
