Hotel Grande Bretagne invites history buffs to a series of walks entitled “Getting to know Athens: From Hotel Grande Bretagne to the Heart of the City”.
The well-known journalist and author Nikos Vatopoulos leads the walks, leading the participants to the secrets of the wider historical center.
The route touches neoclassical buildings, neighborhoods of the interwar period and reconstruction, central boulevards and picturesque streets, squares and emblematic points of the capital, starting and ending at the Grande Bretagne Hotel.
This special journey through the streets of Athens, developed alongside the hotel for a century and a half, offers a deeper understanding of the city, combining its recent historical path with contemporary reality.
Walks will take place every Sunday, from September 15 to October 6, starting at 11:00am.
