Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are planning further expansion as the 2026 summer schedule was released earlier with the addition of more than 700,000 seats. The growth involves selling 18.6 million seats, increasing capacity next summer with 22 new routes to bring the total to almost 450.
Flights and holidays to 57 sunny and urban destinations from 12 UK airports – Belfast International, Bournemouth, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool John Lennon, Manchester, Newcastle and Stansted.
The expanded fleet includes more new and fuel-efficient Airbus A321neo aircraft, which are claimed to be more than 20% more fuel efficient than older aircraft and have a 50% lower noise footprint.
The additional aircraft will be deployed from Bournemouth, East Midlands, Manchester and Newcastle airports, while the A321neos will operate for the first time at Stansted and Glasgow airports as part of a fleet of 136 aircraft due to enter service in summer 2026.
Destinations include the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Cyprus, Croatia, Montenegro, Malta, Bulgaria, France, Morocco, Jersey, Austria and Portugal,
The companies promised further announcements “in the coming weeks”, including the launch of more city break destinations.
The new itineraries for the summer of 2026 are:
- Six from East Midlands– Agadir, Costa de Almeria, Pula, Preveza, Halkidiki and Split.
- Five from Bournemouth – Malaga, Dubrovnik, Kos, Reus and Verona
- Five from Newcastle – Agadir, Preveza, Marrakesh (first summer flights), Barcelona and Porto.
- Three from Edinburgh – Kefalonia, Girona and Kalamata
- Two from Glasgow – Dubrovnik and Marrakesh (flights operating for the first time in the summer)
- One from Stansted to Jerez
