LOT Polish Airlines commenced codeshare-based cooperation with the Italian carrier ITA Airways. The national polish carrier’s current route network includes flights to Milan, Venice and Rome.
Thanks to the new partnership, LOT Polish Airlines passengers will have access to ten new codeshare connections in Italy: Bari, Bologna, Brindisi, Florence, Genoa, Catania, Lamezia Terme, Naples, Palermo and Turin. ITA Airways travelers will now be able to enjoy convenient flights from Rome Fiumicino Airport to Warsaw and other destinations operated by LOT Polish Airlines. One of the advantages of this shared offer is a uniform luggage policy and fare conditions for the entire flight. Thanks to the carriers’ partnership, LOT passengers can also benefit from guaranteed transfers and collect Miles & More miles at the same time.
Recently, ITA Airways has announced that it would join the Star Alliance with effect from 2026. This means that LOT passengers, travelling on shared LOT and ITA Airways flights, will soon be able to take advantage of the range of amenities offered by Star Alliance standards. It is also worth noting that as of 3 February 2025, Miles & More members can earn miles for ITA Airways flights and use miles for flying these airlines.
LOT Polish Airlines passengers can already book new flights, which will be available from 10 April 2025. Tickets for the flights are available via all of LOT and ITA Airways sales channels, including the lot.com website, LOT Contact Centre and LOT Travel offices.
“We are pleased to sign this codeshare agreement with LOT Polish Airlines. This partnership is an additional significant step in ITA Airways’ growth strategy, enhancing connectivity for our passengers. It creates a privileged and convenient travel route between Italy and Poland, further strengthening the economic and commercial ties between our two countries. Additionally, it enhances LOT passengers’ travel experience, offering them the opportunity to enjoy the excellence of Made in Italy, which ITA Airways proudly represents as an ambassador worldwide.” refered Joerg Eberhart, CEO and General Manager of ITA Airways.
