Mr. Charis Theocharis, Greek Minister of Tourism, announced that the number of tourist form Israel increases every year at an impressive rate.
This announcement was made during the 26th International Tourism Expo in Tel Aviv and was shown on i24news, one of the biggest TV channels in Israel. Mr. Theocharis met with Yariv Levin,Israeli Minister of Tourism and agreed that the two countries need to collaborate closely towards this end.
He also met with various tour operators, and announced that almost one million Israeli tourists visited Greece last year, and that through collaborations with the Israel tourism bodies, we can attract more tourists to Greece since visitors form Israel love Greece and influx of tourists from the country is on the rise.
Religious tourism was discussed with the Patriarch of Jerusalem, Mr. Theophilos III, who makes great efforts to promote the holy relics in Jerusalem.
Mr. Theocharis also paid tribute to the Holocaust monument and visited Advanced Technologies Park High-Tech Park Bayside Negev, which is a landmark of innovation and start-up companies, where he was informed on electronic security for individuals and enterprises.
