Qatar Airways extends its flights to Mykonos

After the launch of the new direct non-stop service to Mykonos at end May and its impressive course, Qatar Airways announces the extension of the route, which now will operate until 14 October 2018, from end September that was initially scheduled.

The flight extension service to Greece’s most popular island will operate a four-times-weekly service from Doha, as planned in the original scheduling.

Mykonos is a world–renowned cosmopolitan island and a paradise in the heart of the Cyclades. The small island is known for its picturesque views and beautiful sandy beaches, while travelers can combine their holidays to Santorini and other Cycladic islands.

Theresa Cissell, Qatar Airways Country Manager for Greece and Cyprus, said: “We are thrilled with the further expansion of this successful route, which proved its dynamic within the first month of operation. Four weekly seasonal flights to Mykonos International Airport will be operated by an Airbus A320, featuring 12 seats in Business Class and 132 seats in Economy Class.

Qatar Airways currently operates a modern fleet of more than 200 aircraft via its hub, Hamad International Airport (HIA) to more than 150 destinations worldwide. Earlier this year, Qatar Airways revealed a host of forthcoming global destinations for 2018-19, in line with its expedited expansion plans, including London Gatwick, United Kingdom; Tallinn, Estonia; Valletta, Malta; Langkawi, Malaysia; Da Nang, Vietnam; Bodrum and Antalya, Turkey and Málaga, Spain.
