The Golden Age Hotel of Athens celebrated the complete renovation of the well-known Athenian hotel with a glamorous party, on Wednesday 28 November 2018.
The fully renovated rooms “urban chic” and suites, furnished and decorated with works of art, under the Architectural Design of Management in cooperation with the Construction Company “Light Applications”, promise to satisfy successfully every need and desire even of the most demanding traveller.
The floors in all the rooms have been overlaid with new-type oak floor, for better aesthetic and hygiene, while the floors and the walls in the bathrooms are covered with Kerlite granite slabs. The gray-beige shades coexist with high-quality wood coatings of Italian veneers, creating a warm feeling in the rooms and a perfect combination with the furniture we carefully selected.
Double-glazed windows provide protection against external noise, while all room entrance doors have 30-minute fire protection and excellent soundproofing by Berkvens, the Dutch colossus. Special care was given to the soundproofing among rooms, by using the appropriate Resilent plasterboard.
Moreover, there is a new central air conditioning system designed by the world-renowned American company Trane, which offers the possibility of independent control in the rooms adjusted to each customer’s needs. Beds and mattresses by Hypnos, awarded by the Queen of the Great Britain, as well as coffee and tea making facilities meet every need. All the rooms are equipped with safe (Laptop size), mini refrigerator, 32’’ LED Smart TV, Music Radio via TV, Direct-Dial Telephone and voice mail, linen sleeping accessories, Coco-mat towels and bathrobes (100% cotton), slippers, hair dryer, magnifying mirror and smoke detector. The bathroom is characterized by simple aesthetic, with artificial rain in the shower
Furthermore, USB slots have been installed next to the bed in order to enable the connection of any device (smartphone, tablet, laptop etc.)
Throughout the building, there were also placed
- New Rehau piping networks
- New cabling
- New Wifi networks with state-of-the-art access point
- New Siemens fire detection and fire protection system with armored cabling
Wallpaper of different textures in selected walls of shared areas, point out the simple morphology of the space, creating an urban-elegant atmosphere.
Finally, fully renovated are also:
- 4 Conference Rooms with new audiovisual systems by Filippos Nakas, and mechanical equipment for energy saving
- The a la carte restaurant Moments, as well as the breakfast area
- The Golden Bar
- The gym that is available for free to our customers,
- New sauna cabin &
- The spa room for our clients’ wellness options, by the aegeo partner.
