Singapore Changi Airport was ranked the world’s best airport for the 13th time among the Top 20 for 2025, followed by Doha Hamad Airport, according to air transport ratings agency Skytrax.
Changi is one destination where early check-in has been introduced to allow passengers to leave their luggage up to 48 hours before their flight, so they can make their time at the airport part of their holiday.
The airport won the award for the best airport dinner in the world, as well as the best airport bathrooms in the world and the best airport in Asia, at the World Airport Awards held in Madrid on 9 April. Changi is investing more than $2 billion over the next six years in improving services and facilities, according to data obtained by CNN Business last month.
The second airport, according to Skytrax’s global survey of customers at 565 airports around the world, is the art-filled and architecturally magnificent Hamad International in Qatar, and third in the ranking is Tokyo Haneda.
Athens airport is not in the top 20 airports in the world but is ranked 88th in the list of the 100 best airports.
