The country is strategically investing in promoting thematic forms of tourism (cultural, gastronomic, luxury) and is encouraging visitors to stay in regional destinations beyond popular urban centers like Barcelona and Madrid.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This strategy is paying off: tourists are spending more, staying longer, and consuming in accommodations, dining, and experiences. Thus, Spain gains a significant share of tourism revenue, to the point of approaching or even surpassing France in economic performance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Challenges and strategies for France<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The challenge for France is to convert the large number of visitors into higher revenues. According to market experts, the key areas to be examined are:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Tourism dispersion beyond Paris \u2013 Promoting regional destinations so that visitors stay for more days.<\/li>\n<li>Attracting higher-spending travelers, particularly from markets such as the US, China, and the Gulf countries.<\/li>\n<li>Developing luxury experiences (gastronomy, wine tourism, thematic routes) that increase the basket of expenses.<\/li>\n<li>Improving accommodation infrastructure and investing in service quality.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>The broader European picture<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">According to the World Tourism Organization (<strong>UNWTO<\/strong>), Europe as a whole is expected to record a 11% increase in tourism spending by 2025, with the total reaching $838 billion.
