This was buoyed by aviation-related operations (\u20ac230.5 million, +3.2%) and non-aviation activities (\u20ac77.7 million, +10.6%)\u2014a testament to the growing role of commercial ventures, from retail to new collaborations.<\/p>\n<p>However, profitability felt a squeeze. Adjusted EBITDA came in near \u20ac182.3 million, edging down 0.6%, and margins slipped from 62.5% to 59.2%, reflecting rising costs and investment. Net profit fell 5.1%, landing at \u20ac92.2 million, largely due to steeper financial expenses and reduced carry-forward gains. Still, those figures remain healthy compared to peers.<\/p>\n<p>Financially, the airport\u2019s net debt stood at \u20ac767.2 million, with a net debt-to-adjusted-EBITDA ratio of 1.8\u00d7\u2014a conservative, solid posture that supports ongoing investment.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of investment: AIA is moving on an ambitious infrastructure buildout. Highlights include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A new multi-story parking structure to ease congestion.<\/li>\n<li>A north-west aircraft parking zone with capacity for 32 planes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Expansion of both the central and satellite terminals, adding 150,000 m\u00b2 and boosting capacity by 68%\u2014positioning AIA to smoothly serve 40 million passengers annually when fully realized.<\/p>\n<p>These developments roll out in two waves: half the project completes by 2028, with the remainder finalized by 2032. AIA expects mid-single-digit growth for the remainder of 2025.
