Ο tour operator Romano Travel, σπεσιαλίστας για Τουρκία και Ισπανία, που εδρεύει στο Buckinghamshire, χρεωκόπησε έπειτα από 31 χρόνια επιτυχημένης δραστηριοποίησης.

Οι λεπτομέρειες ακολουθούν: «The agent, who was part of Hays Travel until a week ago, featured operators such as Carrier, Classic Collection Holiday and P&O Cruises on its website.

Owner Frank Woolley, who has been running the business for 31 years, said the company had previously looked at a rescue plan but has now had to close.

A spokesman for the CAA said there were only half a dozen forward bookings and any passengers should contact them.

The CAA website said: “F Woolley t/a Romano Travel based in Bucks has ceased trading with immediate effect. The business specialised in air inclusive holidays to Spain and Turkey.”

Romford-based Airborn, which also traded as dialacruise.com. Holiday Hero, Seaborn, Telebreaks, Teleflights and Teleholidays, failed after it was unable to meet its financial commitment.

A message on its website reads: “Airborn direct / Holiday Hero ceased trading on 21st Oct 2011. Please contact either ABTA or the CAA for further information.”»
