Σε εξέλιξη βρίσκονται οι ανακοινώσεις του υπουργού Μεταφορών στη Βρετανία, Grand Shapps για την κατηγοριοποίηση των χωρών με βάση το σύστημα του φωτεινού σηματοδότη σε πράσινο, πορτοκαλί και κόκκινο χρώμα. Το πρωϊνό ρεπορτάζ του ΧΡΗΜΑ & ΤΟΥΡΙΣΜΟΣ, επιβεβαιώθηκε με μοναδικό μεγάλο τουριστικό προορισμό που μπήκε στην πράσινη κατηγορία να είναι η Πορτογαλία. Η Ελλάδα όπως αναμενόταν είναι στην πορτοκαλί κατηγορία, μαζί με Ισπανία και Γαλλία, ενώ στα αξιοπρόσεκτα είναι η κατάταξη της Τουρκίας στους κόκκινους προορισμούς.
Σύμφωνα με τις ανακοινώσεις, οι χώρες της πράσινης λίστας της βρετανικής κυβέρνησης για «ασφαλή» ταξίδια στο εξωτερικό με το σύστημα φωτεινού σηματοδότη για την επανάληψη των διεθνών ταξιδιών στις 17 Μαϊου είναι 12 και είναι οι εξής: Πορτογαλία (συμπεριλαμβανομένων των Αζορών και της Μαδέρας), Αυστραλία, Νέα Ζηλανδία, Σιγκαπούρη, Μπρουνέι, Ισλανδία, Νήσοι Φερόες, Γιβραλτάρ, Νήσοι Φώκλαντ, Ισραήλ, καθώς και κάποια μικρά συγκροτήματα νησιών (South Georgia / South Sandwich Islands; Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha). Έκπληξη αποτέλεσε και η απουσία της Μάλτας από την πράσινη λίστα.
Η Τουρκία, οι Μαλδίβες και το Νεπάλ τοποθετήθηκαν στον κόκκινο κατάλογο, με ισχύ από τις 12 Μαϊου.
Σημειώνεται ότι το 2019 ταξίδεψαν για διακοπές στην Ελλάδα 3,5 εκατομμύρια Άγγλοι και οι ταξιδιωτικές εισπράξεις ανήλθαν στα 2,56 δισ. €.
Όπως είπαν οι κυβερνητικοί αξιωματούχοι οι τουρίστες «δεν πρέπει να ταξιδεύουν σε «πορτοκαλί» και «κόκκινες» χώρες για αναψυχή». Οι λίστες του συστήματος φωτεινού σηματοδότη, θα ενημερώνονται κάθε τρεις εβδομάδες και όπως είπε χαρακτηριστικά ο υπουργός: «Αυτά τα τακτικά σημεία αξιολόγησης θα επιτρέψουν στην κυβέρνηση να ισορροπήσει βοηθώντας το κοινό να κατανοήσει τις απαιτήσεις COVID όταν ταξιδεύει στην Αγγλία, ενώ μας επιτρέπει να αξιολογούμε συνεχώς τον κίνδυνο για διαφορετικές χώρες».
Είπε ακόμη ο Grant Shapps ότι αυτό είναι το «πρώτο βήμα», σε μια πολύ προσεκτική προσέγγιση και ότι “Πρέπει να γυρίσουμε το κλειδί αργά”. Συμβούλεψε δε το κοινό να μην κάνει κράτηση για ταξίδια χωρίς σαφώς καθορισμένη προστασία επιστροφής χρημάτων, εάν αλλάξει η κατάσταση του Covid, καθώς οι προορισμοί θα μετακινούνται από τη μία κατηγορία στην άλλη.
Νωρίτερα σήμερα ο Paul Charles εκτίμησε ότι Γαλλία και Ισπανία θα μετακινηθούν στην πράσινη λίστα μέχρι τα τέλη Ιουνίου.
Ποιές είναι οι απαιτήσεις ανά χρωματική ζώνη
Σύμφωνα με όσα έχουν γίνει γνωστά μέχρι σήμερα, οι απαιτήσεις για τις πράσινες, πορτοκαλί και κόκκινες χώρες έχουν ως εξής:
Πράσινο: Οι αφίξεις θα πρέπει να έχουν ένα τεστ πριν από την αναχώρηση, καθώς και ένα τεστ PCR την 2η ημέρα ή πριν από αυτή κατά την άφιξη στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, αλλά δεν θα χρειαστεί καραντίνα κατά την επιστροφή (εκτός εάν έχουν θετικό αποτέλεσμα) ή να λάβουν επιπλέον δοκιμές, μειώνοντας κατά το ήμισυ το κόστος των δοκιμών κατά την επιστροφή από τις διακοπές
Πορτοκαλί: Οι αφίξεις θα πρέπει να μπαίνουν καραντίνα κατ’ οίκον για μια περίοδο 10 ημερών, να έχουν κάνει ένα τεστ πριν από την αναχώρηση, ένα τεστ PCR την 2η ημέρα και ένα τεστ την 8η ημέρα με την επιλογή Test to Release την 5η ημέρα για να τερματιστεί η καραντίνα νωρίτερα
Κόκκινο: Οι αφίξεις θα υπόκεινται σε περιορισμούς που ισχύουν επί του παρόντος για χώρες «κόκκινης λίστας», οι οποίες περιλαμβάνουν διαμονή 10 ημερών σε ένα συγκεκριμένο ξενοδοχείο καραντίνας, με κόστος με κόστος 1.750 £ για μεμονωμένους ταξιδιώτες, που θα βαραίνει τον τουρίστα, δοκιμές πριν από την αναχώρηση και δοκιμές PCR τις ημέρες 2 και 8, μετά την άφιξη
Βασικοί παράγοντες στην αξιολόγηση των χωρών περιλαμβάνουν το επίπεδο κρουσμάτων κορονοϊού σε μια χώρα, την πρόοδο του εμβολιασμού, την ανησυχία για οποιαδήποτε μετάλλαξη και την ποιότητα των δεδομένων της.
Απογοήτευση στην ταξιδιωτική βιομηχανία
Οι ηγέτες της ταξιδιωτικής βιομηχανίας στη Βρετανία στις πρώτες αντιδράσεις του τονίζουν ότι έχουν παραμείνει πάρα πολλοί βασικοί προορισμοί έξω από την πράσινη λίστα ασφαλών προορισμών της βρετανικής κυβέρνησης, κάνοντας λόγο για χαμένη ευκαιρία.
Το Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο των Αεροπορικών Αντιπροσώπων στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο (BAR UK) δήλωσε ότι η ανακοίνωση Shapps «δεν είναι ικανοποιητική για να επανασυνδέσει το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο με τις πιο σημαντικές αγορές του».
Ο διευθύνων σύμβουλος Dale Keller είπε: «Αυτό το χλιαρό άνοιγμα σηματοδοτεί μια σημαντική πρώτη φάση, αλλά ο πολύ περιορισμένος αριθμός χωρών που χαρακτηρίστηκαν ως «πράσινες για μετάβαση» από τις 17 Μαΐου θα αφήσουν πολλούς ανθρώπους απογοητευμένους και τα αεροσκάφη και οι θέσεις εργασίας δεν θα στηριχθούν. Η πλειοψηφία των χωρών παραμένει στην πορτοκαλί κατηγορία με τους περιορισμούς άφιξης να είναι αμετάβλητοι ανεξάρτητα από το καθεστώς εμβολιασμού. Τα ταξίδια παραμένουν ο σημαντικότερος τομέας που πλήττεται και ολόκληρος ο κλάδος κάνει ότι χρειάζεται για να συνεργαστεί με την κυβέρνηση για να ενθαρρύνει πιο ευθυγραμμισμένες και αποτελεσματικές διαδικασίες για την επανάληψη των ασφαλών και αποτελεσματικών ταξιδιών σε μεγάλη κλίμακα. Οι κυβερνήσεις έχουν σαφώς ακόμη πολλά να κάνουν σε αυτό το θέμα”.
Η Gloria Guevera, πρόεδρος του Παγκόσμιου Συμβουλίου Ταξιδιών και Τουρισμού (WTTC) χαιρέτισε το «πρώτο αρχικό βήμα», αλλά είπε ότι η βιομηχανία είναι «εξαιρετικά απογοητευμένη», καθώς οι ΗΠΑ δεν συμπεριλήφθηκαν στην πράσινη λίστα. «Ενώ καταλαβαίνουμε ότι η προστασία της δημόσιας υγείας πρέπει να είναι η προτεραιότητα, το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο είναι πολύ προσεκτικό και κινδυνεύει να χάσει το σκληρό ανταγωνιστικό του πλεονέκτημα που επιτεύχθηκε με την πρώιμη διάθεση εμβολίων με το να είναι πολύ αργό για να επιτρέψει τη σημαντική επανάληψη των διεθνών ταξιδιών», είπε.
