“100 Years Takis” airport exhibition in collaboration with the Takis Foundation

Athens International Airport, in collaboration with the Takis Foundation, honours the great Greek sculptor in 2025 by hosting the anniversary exhibition “100 Years of Takis”.

Celebrating one hundred years since his birth, two historic and emblematic works by Takis, an Aeolian and a Spiral, will be showcased at the Departures level (exterior door 1), until January 24th, 2026.

In addition, in a specially designed area at the Arrivals level (Entrance 1), visitors will have the opportunity to explore the life and work of Takis through audiovisual material, alongside two more significant sculptures from the Foundation’s Collection: the “Neutral Indicator” and the “Signal”.

Through this exhibition, Athens Internation Airport and the Takis Foundation offer to visitors a concise yet meaningful introduction to the artist, highlighting his unique contribution to the international art scene and his lasting impact on contemporary art. The exhibition is open daily, 24 hours a day, open to all airport passengers and visitors.
