12 Greek hotels among the elite of global tourism | Forbes Star Awards

Twelve Greek hotels are among the world’s top hotels for 2024, according to the 66th annual Forbes Star Awards by Forbes Travel Guide, which honors the best hotels, restaurants, spas and cruise lines worldwide.

Travel guide Forbes has presented its highly anticipated Star Awards 2024, recognising the world’s top hotels, restaurants, spas and cruises based on current traveller preferences.

In its 66th annual edition, the guide focused on destinations that offer enriching experiences, including neglected smaller cities in the U.S. and new additions such as Azerbaijan, Curaçao, Iceland, Kenya, Sardinia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The list includes more than 2,000 properties around the world. In particular, it includes 340 five-star hotels, 600 four-star hotels and 503 recommended hotels, 78 five-star restaurants, 121 four-star restaurants and 59 recommended restaurants, 126 five-star spas and 201 four-star spas, as well as seven four-star cruise ships and five recommended cruise ships.

FTG applies a rigorous, unbiased rating process conducted by anonymous inspectors who, as ordinary guests, stay in hotels, cruise, enjoy spa treatments and dine in luxury restaurants around the world. These inspectors rate businesses on around 900 specific criteria, with an emphasis on exceptional service, which accounts for 70% of the score.

“Travel is expected to have a strong year, and our new 2024 list winners reflect the increased efforts that properties are making to deliver high quality experiences to guests,” said Amanda Frasier, head of reviews for Forbes Travel Guide.

According to her, this year’s list demonstrates the discerning traveler’s evolving focus on wellness and desire for authentic destination-centric itineraries.

“We congratulate all the winners of this year’s awards for their outstanding achievements,” said Ms. Frasier.
