Athens among the top European cities for entertainment

Athens is among the top ten European cities that are renowned for the entertainment they offer to both residents and visitors, according to a new survey.

Mattress Next Day’s experts have identified Europe’s cities that never sleep, offering 24/7 entertainment options by analysing the number of nightlife events, dance clubs, party search volume, availability of public transport and the quality of facilities such as hotels and restaurants.

The Greek capital is one of the European cities that offer remarkable entertainment options, ranking sixth in the top ten.

The first place in Mattress Next Day’s ranking is occupied by the world-famous party capital, Ibiza. Known for its frenzied beach parties and legendary clubs such as Ushuaia and Pacha, it’s no surprise that 823,500 annual party searches take place on the island.

Eastern European cities stand out for their all-night parties, with Prague securing second place in the ranking, earning its title as “the new heart of Europe, beating loudly for nightlife”.

Belgrade, in third place, is a lesser-known nightlife ‘gem’, which is particularly famous for its splavs – the riverfront clubs that ‘come alive’ in the summer.

Madrid and Budapest complete the top five.
