Passenger traffic in Athens International Airport up 10.8% in March 2025

Athens International Airport‘s passenger traffic during March 2025 reached 2.22 million, up 10.8% compared to 2024.

According to Athens International Airport (AIA) data, both domestic and international passenger traffic exceeded 2024 levels by 2.1% and 14.4%, respectively.

Overall, in the first three months of the year, the airport’s traffic reached 5.81 million passengers, an increase of 11.4%. Passenger traffic, both domestic and international, increased by 3.1% and 15%, respectively.

The number of flights at Athens International Airport during the first three months of 2025 amounted to 50,651, registering an increase of 9.3% compared to 2024. Domestic flights showed a minimal decrease of 0.5%, while international flights increased by 16.1% compared to the same period in 2024.
