The construction of a new 5-star hotel in Rhodes is underway by the company REXEKA, in the interests of the Katris family.
In more detail, by decision of the Decentralized Administration of the Aegean approved the environmental conditions for the project ‘New hotel unit 5*, capacity 762 beds, on a land area of 215.692,85sq.m. (after the removal of part occupied by the provincial road) within the K.M. 392 & 393 land Koskinou, in the area ’Amoudes Koskinou”, D.K. Koskinou, Municipality of Rhodes, Region South. Aegean”, the implementation of which is a necessary condition for the construction and operation of the project and is the responsibility of the executing and operating body and all those legally liable. The competent authority for the construction and operation of the project is the company with the registered office of REXEKA SA’.
REXEKA was founded in 1985, with Savvas Katris as Chairman, Nikolaos Katris as Managing Director and George Katris as Vice-Chairman, and its share capital amounts to €2,682,364.95. The company has a strong capital base and results. In 2023, REXEKA had a turnover of €13.78 million, earnings before interest and taxes of €4,485,570.48 and earnings after taxes of €3,230,010.20.

The company is active in the tourism sector and owns the ‘Rodos Palladium’ hotel in Ammoudes Koskinos area of Rhodes with a capacity of 390 rooms. It belongs to the hotel chain ‘HARMONY RESORTS’ together with the hotels ‘Elysium Resort & Spa’ and ‘Sun Beach Resort Complex’. The company creates added value by providing services aimed at the highest quality level of the tourism market. This is achieved through the provision of luxury rooms as well as leisure and entertainment facilities whose design has been curated to achieve an aesthetic result that allows maximizing the customer satisfaction rate.
In the long term, additions and upgrades are made through investments in fixed assets, aiming to maintain an attractive environment for customers space, incorporating the latest international trends in the provision of tourism services. The new hotel
The project concerns the construction and operation of a new 5* hotel unit with a capacity of 762 beds. The land of the project consists of the land parcels 392 & 393 of Koskinou land and is located in the area of ‘Amoudes Koskinou’, Municipality of Koskinou, Municipality of Rhodes. Its area is 215,692.85sq.m. (after deducting the part occupied by the provincial road, 216,850sq.m. by title).
The complex will consist of 7 room buildings, 35 villas and 3 service buildings. The common service areas shall be located in a centrally located area so as to serve the complex. It will include 3 building units ( 1.Main Building – Villas (5 types), 2.SPA Building – Wings A, B, C, D, E, G, H, & 3. Shopping with themed restaurants).
In the surrounding area, shallow decorative tanks, flower beds with low flowering and ornamental plants will be constructed. Trees will be planted for shade and cooling, based on the flora of the site and the surrounding area.
Also included will be :
1. Asphalt pavement of closed type with a width of 5 meters for traffic, but also small alleys with a width of 3.00 meters with perforated cobblestones (for planting) in order for electric customer service carts to move on them,
2. Green surfaces : planting of ornamental shrubs – lawns, trees,
3. Pedestrian circulation surfaces such as paved paths – access roads,
4. Traffic access zones for fire trucks, ambulances, garbage trucks, catering, mass transit, Tanker vehicles,
5. Pedestrian circulation zones – sidewalks, building entrance – exit accesses, sidewalk edge landscaping for access for disabled access, fire escape staircase landings,
6. Electric lighting – signage – line markings – security – control of entrances &
7. Parking spaces in the surrounding area of the facility, based on the specifications of the Hellenic Tourism Organization.
