Jet2 and Jet2holidays were triumphant at the 2026 Weekly Globe Awards, after winning three awards as voted for by thousands of independent travel agents.
For the tenth consecutive year, Jet2holidays was presented with the Best Short-Haul Operator accolade at a prestigious awards ceremony held at JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London.
The travel industry also recognised the UK’s largest tour operator for its partnership approach to working with independent travel agents by voting the company as the Best Trade-Friendly Brand for the sixth year running. This award celebrates Jet2holidays’ award-winning trade team and its dedicated commitment to supporting independent travel agents and homeworkers to help them grow their businesses through its Partners2Success strategy.
As part of this industry-leading approach, Jet2holidays’ Trade Team are constantly developing new and inventive ways to encourage customers to engage with independent travel agent partners. This includes providing agency partners with everything from marketing collateral to real time sales data to identify trends, as well as putting the prominent ‘Contact your local independent travel agent’ message across a range of channels including onboard announcements, onboard magazines, social media, direct mail, TV advertising, email, brochures and online to drive customers to agency partners.
Adding to its ever-growing awards collection, Jet2 was named the Best Short-Haul Airline by UK travel agents for the 13th time.
Widely regarded as one of the most prestigious ceremonies in the travel industry, the Travel Weekly Globe Awards celebrate and reward the very best companies and individuals in a range of categories, voted for by frontline travel agents. Now in their 47th year, the accolades reflect the companies, brands and destinations that have gone above and beyond in support of their trade partners and customers in the past year.
