Athens among the best destinations for off-season travel

Athens is among the top ten best off-season travel destinations in the world, a recent survey by DaddySkins has revealed.

In particular, the Greek capital completes the ranking, occupying the 10th place.

Recently, DaddySkins, conducted extensive research in 30 different cities to compile a ranking of the best off-season travel destinations in the world. For this purpose, average peak and off-peak temperatures, differences in hotel price from booking.com and visitor density per square kilometre were taken into account.

Chicago ranked first in terms of off-season travel destinations with a score of 2.24. This rating is based on several factors, the city’s transition to cooler weather with an average temperature of 17°C, hotel prices dropping significantly, etc.

Los Angeles meets in second place with a score of 2.19. The temperature in the fall stays around 26°C and hotel rates drop from $216.75 to $147.25, offering huge savings.

Riga is in third place with a score of 2.13. In the fall, hotel prices drop from $90.90 to $78.60, making it more affordable for travelers.

Warsaw takes fourth place. It earns a score of 2.04, as the city’s hotel prices remain almost the same throughout the year.

Amsterdam is in fifth place with a score of 1.96. The temperature in autumn remains at 15°C and hotel prices drop from $250.45 to $190.00.

Lisbon is in 6th place with a score of 1.84. Hotel rates decrease from $168.00 in the summer to $150.65 in the fall.

Bern ranks 7th. During the fall, hotel prices decrease from $192.05 to $149.80 in this city.

Zagreb takes 8th place with a score of 1.65. In autumn, reduced hotel prices are down to 111.50 dollars from 125.90 dollars in summer.

London takes 9th place with a score of 1.56 and Athens rounds out the Top 10 with a score of 1.50.
