Kostas Sinis was promoted to Director of Strategic Sales and Purchases at Grecotel Hotels and Resorts, where he has been a part of the team for the past five years.
Mr. Sinis joined the hotel chain in December 2020 as sales director for the UK and luxury sector and will take up his new duties from 1 January 2026.
In an interview with Aspire, a sister publication of Travel Weekly, Mr. Sinis stated that he “feels privileged to have been offered such a unique and exciting role,” which he described as a role with “two main priorities.”
“This position will, of course, have as its main goal the promotion of international development, as well as the development and implementation of the sales and marketing strategy throughout Grecotel,” he said.
The second, very important priority, he added, is the development of the existing teams and the creation of additional sales teams around the world.
“We want to create and lead high-performance sales teams that will proudly represent Grecotel. “Dynamic and passionate teams – similar to the ones our team has in the UK,” he said.
Mr. Sinis praised the support of his “wonderful existing team, including the UK sales director, Liz Mason, and sales manager, Briony Worrall, as well as marketing specialist Tina Nykta, who is based in Greece and has played a crucial role in the hotel group’s marketing strategy in the UK.”
According to Mr. Sini, further development is expected, as the team in the United Kingdom is expected to number six members by the end of next year.
Looking ahead to 2026, Mr. Sines emphasized that “Grecotel will continue to evolve, with investments of 1 billion euros planned for the next four years, with the aim of creating new hotels in Crete, Corfu, Kos, the Peloponnese, and Northern Greece.”
The group, he added, is also expected to further increase its commercial activities.
