Hilton invests in Greece | Kefalogianni meets Simon Vincent in Rome

Investment interest and consistently high travel demand for Greece were confirmed by Mr. Simon Vincent, CBE, Executive Vice President & President Europe, Middle East and Africa of the international hotel company Hilton, during his meeting in Rome with the Minister of Tourism, Ms. Olga Kefalogianni, on the sidelines of the 25th Summit of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).

The meeting was also attended by EOT President Ms. Angela Varela, Mr. Alan Mantin, Vice President Development Southern Europe, and Ms. Lauren Ziska, Vice President, Government Affairs EMEA. Among other things, reference was made to the fact that the rapid service of investment plans by the Special Service for the Promotion and Licensing of Tourist Investments of the Ministry of Tourism, which will guide prospective investors as a one-stop service, is already recognized as a good practice internationally.

Ms. Kefalogianni pointed out the development, especially in recent years, of high-quality infrastructure and services in our country, specifically mentioning Thessaloniki. He also emphasized the special importance of developing cooperative relationships with travel agencies and hotel companies of international reputation and recognition, such as HILTON.

Finally, Mr. Vincent emphasized the establishment of Athens as a popular European urban destination, as well as the interest of the HILTON company in exploring investment opportunities in the rest of Greece.
