HolidayCheck: Prices are falling for popular tourist destinations for Germans | -11% in Kos

Last-minute booking prices in the German market for the summer of 2025 in popular vacation destinations are falling, in some cases reaching 15% compared to previous months, with Greek islands not following this trend, although Kos is a unique exception.

According to an analysis by HolidayCheck of vacation packages offered by more than 65 travel agents, with last-minute travel package prices decreasing by up to 15%, German vacationing families can save up to 680 euros on a one-week vacation for four people.

The popular platform analyzed millions of last-minute deals, focusing on one-week vacations for families with two adults and two children aged 5 to 13, including transportation and at least one meal per day, for the period from June 28 to September 15, 2025, and found that average prices have decreased by 9-15% in many popular vacation destinations.

In the case of Greece, only in Kos is there a decrease in last-minute travel package prices, which averages a double-digit 11% for June bookings compared to May.

This means that a 4-member German family of vacationers who booked in June for a vacation in Kos this summer paid 4,130 euros, while booking a month earlier in May the cost of their vacation amounted to 4,630 euros.

The largest price difference between May and June is recorded in Formentera, Spain, and Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, at 15%, while the smallest is in Gran Canaria, Spain, at 9%.
