Messinia “attracts” the interest of French travelers | Air France starts direct flights Paris-Kalamata

Direct flights from Paris to Kalamata will be included in Air France’s schedule for this summer, as M&T had revealed, an indication of the high interest of French travelers for the southwestern Peloponnese.

On the occasion of the launch of the new route of the French national carrier, an event dedicated to the Peloponnese and especially Messinia as an ideal destination for sustainable tourism development was organized at the Greek Embassy in Paris.

The event was held on May 22nd under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organization and the Embassy of Greece in France, with the support of TEMES – Costa Navarino, and was attended by representatives of the two French airlines (Air France and Transavia), the most important French tour operators, journalists from the country’s major media, bloggers, artists, as well as the popular Greek journalist and presenter Nikos Aliagas.

During the event, the cultural heritage of the southwestern Peloponnese, the gastronomy of the region and the variety of tourist experiences offered in combination with the high quality services of the Costa Navarino hotel complex, which make it a pioneer in Europe, were presented in detail.

The Greek Ambassador to France, Dimitris Zevelakis, greeted the event, while the Head of the EOT France, Emmy Anagnostopoulou, praised Air France’s decision to start direct flights to Kalamata and noted the added value that the innovative investments of Costa Navarino add to the tourism product of our country.

Air France’s Paris-Kalamata flights will start on 6 July and will operate every Saturday.
