New era for the historic King George Hotel

HOTELS TOURISM TRAVEL

Lampsa Hellenic Hotels SA announced the completion of the acquisition of the historic King George Hotel from Eurobank for the purchase amount of 43 million euros. The Hotel had been leased to Lampsa from 2013 and was operated in conjunction with the adjacent Hotel Grande Bretagne.

With the aforementioned acquisition combined with the long term lease and major reconstruction of the historic Kings Palace Hotel, owned by the former Agrotiki Bank employees, Lampsa has successfully completed its investment plans in the center of Athens, despite the difficulties faced during the period of the Greek financial crisis.

By these particular business actions, which represent a more than 80 million euros investment and are expected to generate more than 200 occupations, Lampsa group confirms its long-term confidence in Greek tourism and the continuing progress of the city of Athens.

Lampsa Hellenic Hotels SA, subsidiary company of Laskaridis group, is a publicly listed company in the Athens Stock Market since 1946 and actively involved in the Hotel business. Lampsa Hellenic Hotels SA owns Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens, Sheraton Rhodes Hotel, Hyatt Regency Hotel and Mercure Excelsior Hotel in Belgrade and from now on King George Hotel and Kings Palace Hotel in Athens.
