Tripadvisor has announced the winners of its annual Travelers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best Hotels, with G.H. Universal Hotel in Indonesia taking the top spot as the world’s best hotel. Greece also delivered a strong performance, with major hotel groups earning distinctions across Rhodes, Crete, Corfu, Santorini and other popular destinations. Casa Cook Rhodes ranked first among hotels in Greece.
The Travellers’ Choice 2026: Best of the Best Hotels awards are part of Tripadvisor’s broader Travellers’ Choice Awards programme and, according to the company, represent the top 1% of accommodations worldwide based on travellers’ reviews and preferences. The winners were determined based on the quality and quantity of reviews and ratings submitted on Tripadvisor between 1 January and 31 December 2025.
More specifically, G.H. Universal Hotel in Indonesia was ranked the No. 1 hotel in the world, standing out for its distinctive architecture and warm atmosphere.
