TUI is looking to give an extra boost to summer bookings in 2025 by promoting a major last-minute booking campaign with offers for Crete.
“There is still a lot to sell,” announced the head of TUI Germany, Benjamin Jacobi, during the annual conference of the TUI Travel Star (TTS) travel agency cooperation, which took place on the weekend of May 3-4 at the Grecotel Imperial Kos, pointing out that discounts of up to 50% are offered.
The advertising campaign, which launches in a few days and will be promoted through radio stations, travel agencies, social media and digital TV channels, will run until 9 November. However, the offers are always registered in the booking systems in a very short period of time. For the month of May, there are offers for Crete, Mallorca, and the Turkish Riviera, among others.
Lower early bird prices in exceptional cases
According to Jacobi, prices for most offers will be higher than early bird prices, but there will be exceptions. “It depends on the pricing policy of the airlines and hotels,” he said. He stressed that TUI would pass on the discounts directly to customers.
From the point of view of TUI’s German bosses, the campaign also represents an opportunity for travel agencies, which should now consider which customers have not yet booked a summer holiday for cost reasons. This customer base should be reached directly and informed that very good offers could be available in the short term.
Alongside the last-minute campaign, the TUI Extra Stars promotion is “running” until 3 June. The promotion is of interest to those who book early, as the leading travel group is attempting to activate a large part of its 2026 summer programme as early as mid-May 2025.
