AIA: 9% increase in passenger traffic in April – 10.6% increase in the first four months of the year

Passenger traffic at Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport reached 2.71 million in April 2025, up 9.0% compared to 2024.

Both domestic and international passenger traffic exceeded 2024 levels by 6.6% and 10.0%, respectively.

Overall, during the first four months of the year, airport traffic reached 8.52 million passengers, marking an increase of 10.6%. Both domestic and international passenger traffic increased by 4.1% and 13.3%, respectively.

The number of flights at Athens International Airport during the first four months of 2025 amounted to 73,151, recording an increase of 8.5% compared to 2024. Domestic flights showed a slight increase of 1.3%, while international flights recorded a significant increase of 13.2% compared to the same period in 2024.

It should be noted that in 2024, passenger traffic increased by 13% compared to the previous year, reaching a new record of 31.9 million passengers.
