Leaving Alltours in 2026 is the head of Sales and Marketing of the third largest tour operator in Germany, Georg Welbers, who was a “transfer” from Thomas Cook.
However, until the end of May 2026, Mr Welbers will continue to work as general manager of the Sales and Marketing Department of Alltours, whose management is keeping silent on the reasons for his departure and on the person who will succeed him.
Georg Welbers took up his duties at Alltours on 1 April 2020, at a difficult time when the coronavirus pandemic occurred and helped the tour operator cope with the effects of the pandemic better than many others.
It is not known whether Mr Welbers is leaving Alltours to take up a new role – a challenge, which is believed to be announced in due course.

Prior to that, the economics PhD was involved in management consulting. In 2019, he briefly moved to the management of Schülerhilfe, Gelsenkirchen, before returning to the travel industry a few months later, taking up the key position of Head of Sales at Alltours.
