In response to continued demand from holidaymakers booking flights and holidays to this bucket list destination, the leading leisure airline and UK’s largest operator of city breaks have added new services departing during the February half-term. The expansion represents over 1,500 extra seats on sale between London Stansted Airport and Iceland.
The additional flights going on sale are as follows:
- Extra Thursday services on 12th and 19th February 2026.
- Additional Monday flying on 16th February 2026.
- New Sunday services on 22nd February 2026.
Jet2 and Jet2CityBreaks are offering customers and independent travel agents an unrivalled choice of departure points to Iceland for Winter 25/26, with flights and trips on sale from 12 UK airport bases (Belfast International, Bristol, Birmingham, Bournemouth, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool John Lennon, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle International.
In total, Jet2 and Jet2CityBreaks will operate more than 170 outbound services between October 2025 and April 2026, representing over 34,000 seats on sale and a capacity increase of 6% compared to Winter 24/25. This provides customers and independent travel agents with incredible choice when it comes to seeing the Northern Lights and the abundance of natural wonders that Iceland has to offer.
The programme means stays are available at key periods during Winter 25/26 including over the October half-term, February half-term, Easter holidays and in the countdown to Christmas. As well as providing customers with plenty of flexibility when it comes to which month or period they want to travel, the flights are also perfectly timed for those wanting to witness the spectacular Northern Lights and experience the best of Iceland.
Thanks to its abundance of natural wonders and wide variety of sights to see, Iceland has continued to experience demand with customers and independent travel agents. From the world’s most northernmost capital, Reykjavik, to volcanic landscapes and the night skies featuring the spectacular Northern Lights, it is easy to see why Iceland is deemed a once-in-a-lifetime trip.
Customers can pick from flight-only or package holiday options, with package options with Jet2CityBreaks available for a low £60 per person deposit. These package options include a guided Northern Lights Tour, flights with Jet2, 22kg hold luggage and transfers to and from the airport, as well as a choice of 3 and 4-star hotels in central Reykjavik.
