Jet2 promotes price reduction and spring bookings through agents

Jet2 has launched a £60 per person offer for the month of May and June to enable it to promote bookings through agents while also offering price reductions on spring bookings and holidays.

Direct customers who sign up for a free myJet2 account will receive a £60 discount per person, while customers who book through agents will receive an additional £10 per person.

Jet2holidays said there is no cut-off date for the additional discount on late bookings.

Director of Agent Relations Alan Cross said: “We’re gearing up for the biggest summer in our history and we want to increase excitement by giving holidaymakers the chance to book their place in the sun through an independent travel agent for even less money. Based on bookings, it’s clear that people are fed up with the rain, wind and cold and want to swap it for much-needed sunshine. With millions of people wanting to get away this summer, our award-winning commercial team is focused on driving the Partners2Success strategy so we can take every opportunity to increase sales through our independent travel agency partners.”

In addition, it said the percentage of customers booking cheaper flight only deals had increased compared to those booking package holidays.

By late April, it had 45% of its 7.7 million seats on flights this summer left to sell.
