«LoveHER | 5 Senses | 365 Days», the new tourism campaign of the Municipality of Heraklion, Crete

The new tourism campaign of the Municipality of Heraklion entitled “loveHER | 5 Senses | 365 Days” presented in the heart of the city, presented at Lion Square on Thursday, July 18.

Inspired by the first three letters HER of the English word HERAKLION, the new campaign highlights Heraklion, a place rich in history, culture and flavors, as the ideal destination offered for enjoyment 365 days a year.

With the central message “Love HER”, “Discover Heraklion with all your senses, a journey full of history, culture and flavors, the ideal destination for all year round” the Municipality of Heraklion welcomes visitors to a magical journey full of surprises and authentic experiences.

The loveHER campaign invites you to discover, live and love Heraklion with all your senses: Looking, Feeling, Tasting, Smelling, Listening, or otherwise See, Feel, Taste, Smell, Hear.

See: Looking at the historical monuments and admiring the culture and natural beauties of Heraklion. The magic of the ancient monuments and Venetian walls is unsurpassed, while discovering the rich cultural heritage and the picturesque hinterland with beautiful landscapes and traditional villages.


Feel: Feeling the hospitality of the locals and the sense of living history that permeates the city: the warmth and authenticity of the locals welcome you warmly. The narratives and tradition of the inhabitants take the lead.

Taste: Traditional Cretan dishes and local products make the gastronomy of Heraklion unique: made with pure, local products. From the traditional dakos and apaki, to the fresh seafood and fine wines of the mainland, every meal in Heraklion is an unforgettable gastronomic experience.
