MP Hellas is heading for an outstanding summer

BUSINESS TOURISM

– Greece is again in high demand this summer and generating guest numbers for Meeting Point Hellas, which indicate another record year. The incoming agency strengthens its position with an expanded portfolio of its B2C offers.

A story of success continues: Meeting Point Hellas is once again expecting a very successful high season that can match the previous record-breaking year. “We are already seeing higher demand from our international guests than at the same time in 2022.

Due to the very good bookings, in particular for the numerous islands, we expect a strong push for the coming months,” explains Mario Habig, CEO DMCs at the FTI GROUP. Especially in the DACH region and the UK, the sun and beach destinations in the Eastern Mediterranean are very popular, but also other source markets are on the rise. The expert says: “The markets in France or the BeNeLux countries are closing in; we were able to generate a significant increase there. Also third-party business, that’s business with preferred partners outside the FTI GROUP, is booming: Especially in Hungary and Romania, as well as in the Nordic countries, we are currently growing in the double-digit percentage range. Within this summer, we want to further expand our reach for Greece with Finland and Slovenia.”

New excursion through the Cretan nature

In order to inspire first-time visitors as well as to show regular guests new corners of the Greek island world, the Destination Management Company has significantly expanded its program. “The demand for tours in the nature is relentlessly high. Accordingly, we have further developed our portfolio with new highlights for this summer – in addition to our already very broad existing cultural excursions,” elaborates Manos Drakonakis, CEO of Meeting Point Hellas & Cyprus. “On Crete, our guests can experience a jeep tour through the Psiloritis Park starting this summer: The trip through the UNESCO Geopark leads to archaeological sites, the Sfendoni Cave with its impressive stalactites and stalagmites, as well as to the Ida Mountains, the birthplace of Zeus” says Drakonakis.
