The highly anticipated 2025 European tour by Radiohead is not limited to the music scene. According to an analysis by Mabrian and The Data Appeal Company – Almawave Group, the band’s concerts in Madrid, Bologna, London, and Berlin will generate over 12 million euros in tourism revenue.
The research, presented before the World Travel Market international exhibition in London, estimated that more than 205,000 spectators will attend the 16 concerts in the four cities. The majority of the expenditure – nearly 60% – will be directed towards food and drink, while transportation will absorb approximately 21.6% and accommodation the remaining 18.5%. This suggests that many viewers are either residents of the same or neighboring areas, or travelers on short stays.
In Madrid, where the tour begins on November 4, the economic impact is estimated at 2.3 million euros, with the largest percentage being in the gastronomy sector. London is the destination with the greatest overall impact – up to 4.2 million euros – due to the higher prices for accommodation and consumption. In Berlin, the focus is on transportation (25.3% of the total), as many visitors are expected from neighboring countries. Similarly, in Bologna, transportation accounts for 23.2% of total expenditure, with a total economic footprint of approximately 2.8 million euros.
Analysts at Mabrian note that the ticket distribution strategy, which prioritized residents and spectators from nearby markets, enhanced the sustainability of the events and prevented extreme pressure on infrastructure. At the same time, it shows how “smart” ticket management can translate into stable economic value for local communities.
