Reisereporter: These hotels stand out in Santorini, Rhodes, Crete and Kos in 2026

Important new hotel units are opening in 2026 in Greece, in popular destinations such as Santorini, Rhodes, Crete and Kos, enhancing the country’s tourism product with options ranging from luxury vacations to more relaxed hospitality experiences.

As Brigitte Vetter reports in her article in the reisereporter, a number of new hotels are scheduled to open this year, aiming to attract travelers with different needs and preferences.

Amid the most significant new arrivals is the AMOH, a Luxury Collection Resort in Rhodes, which is being developed on a private peninsula near Lindos. The complex has two private beaches, 197 rooms and suites, eight dining and spa facilities with an emphasis on the connection between nature and wellness, and is expected to open in the spring of 2026.

In Crete, the allsun Hotel Carolina Sun Beach in Malia opens in April 2026 as the island’s first five-star hotel in the chain, with 113 rooms and facilities that include swimming pools, direct beach access, and entertainment activities for all ages.

In Santorini, the Sandblu Santorini by LXR Hotels & Resorts opens on April 8, 2026, targeting travelers seeking quieter and more personalized experiences. The hotel has 66 rooms, suites and villas, six dining areas and wellness facilities, overlooking the Kamari area.

In Chania, the Hilton Chania Old Town Resort & Spa is expected to open in June 2026, offering 85 rooms and suites with private pools, a 600-square-meter spa, and access to both the sea and the historic city center.

In Kos, the Arato by E-Geo will operate as an adults-only hotel, located by the sea, with private pools, dining areas, and wellness facilities, while the town of Kos is also nearby.

Finally, in Crete, Ikos Kissamos adds another luxury option, with 414 rooms, a private beach, multiple pools, restaurants, and sports activities.

These new investments further strengthen the dynamism of Greek tourism, expanding the offer of high-quality accommodations and enhancing the country’s international competitiveness.
