The year 2026 is expected to be a landmark for so-called set-jetting—travel inspired by film and television productions. According to Expedia Group’s annual Unpack ’26 report, 81% of Millennials and Gen Z say they choose destinations influenced by movies and TV series, turning set-jetting into a market that in the U.S. alone is estimated to reach $8 billion.
With more than half of travelers stating that their desire for this type of travel has increased, Expedia highlights the destinations set to take center stage thanks to major productions premiering this year and in 2026, while also suggesting hotels and experiences “straight out of the screen.”
