Completed this weekend, Saturday 26 April 2025 and Sunday 27 April 2025, the cycle of actions of the Region of Crete, “Let’s go for … greens” Spring 2025. An action that evolved over three months and throughout the prefecture of Chania and with great success.
Participation is free and the programme follows:
- on Saturday 26/4/ 2025, in Mothiana Kolymbari, in cooperation with the Cultural Association of Mothiana – Skafiotou “ANAGENISI”.
Walk to the old stone bridge and stop at the old fountain of 1882. Search for grasses of the era until the Skete of Agios Leonidas. There a short rest stop with cool water and then return to the village square with the hospitality offered by the Association.

- on Sunday of Thomas 27/4/2025, in the Cave of Kolumbari, in cooperation with the Cultural Association of Cave “The Unity”.
Under the shade of the age-old plane trees, kalitsounia will be brewed, the search for edible and non-edible grasses, distillation of traditional flower water and a feast with the sounds of Cretan music.
