These were the air arrivals in the Cyclades during the main tourist season | Santorini was by far the first

Over 1.6 million passengers disembarked in the Cyclades islands during the main tourist season, according to data released by the Civil Aviation Authority and processed by MTC GROUP.

Specifically, from April to August 2025, 818,551 passengers arrived by air in Santorini, 604,963 in Mykonos, 124,390 in Paros, 83,345 in Naxos, 41,033 in Milos, and 6,630 in Syros. However, the ranking based on arrivals changes based on the operating businesses on each island. According to ELSTAT, there are 1,402 accommodation and catering establishments in Santorini, 676 in Naxos, 621 in Mykonos, 596 in Paros, 574 in Milos, and 207 in Syros. The comparison between arrivals and the number of businesses is completely understandable.

In detail, regarding arrivals per month:

– In April, 67,150 arrived in Santorini, 126,099 in May, 173,431 in June, 226,778 in July, and 225,093 in August.

– In Mykonos, arrivals were 25,022 in April, 67,856 in May, 130,614 in June, 193,710 in July, and 187,761 in August.

In Paros, 9,901 air passengers disembarked in April, 20,130 in May, 28,718 in June, 33,764 in July, and 31,877 in August.

– In Naxos, arrivals were 7,129 in April, 11,712 in May, 20,749 in June, 22,982 in July, and 20,773 in August.

– 2,145 passengers arrived in Milos in April, 6,279 in May, 10,687 in June, 11,203 in July, and 10,719 in August.

As the numbers show, the largest volume was moved in July compared to August. Also:

– Naxos had half the arrivals in May compared to June and July.

– In Mykonos, the largest volume of traffic occurred in June, July, and August.

– Paros had a steady increase from May to August

– Syros, due to its connection to Thessaloniki, had satisfactory performance in June, July, and August.
