W Costa Navarino is the only European resort featuring in the prestigious “Top 50 Best Resorts in the World”, as voted at the Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2023. This ranking – along with being recognised as the #1 resort in Greece– has been obtained just over a year after the first W Escape in Greece, opened its doors in Costa Navarino, the sustainably driven destination located in the Greek region of Messinia in the southwest Peloponnese.
This recognition comes as the perfect culmination of an exciting first full season, which saw W Costa Navarino welcoming its guests with carefully curated programming which showcased the region’s finest and its vibrant character. It featured a diverse range of experiences, ranging from Easter festivities with a twist, to summer seaside activities and a brand-new watersports center, aiming to be a place welcoming to all. The month of August was filled with music, celebrating the resort’s first anniversary, while last weekend it played host to the spiritual guru Dr. Deepak Chopra’s first visit to Greece, for “The Future of Wellbeing” retreat.
W Costa Navarino is getting ready to welcome a dynamic 2024 season, with powerful event programming, aimed at catering to experience seekers and spirited visitors. Music and culinary events, alongside wellness retreats and more, will set the tone, welcoming well-travelled, young at heart travelers.
Set in front of a 450-metre-long sandy beach, the resort overlooks the protected and historic Bay of Navarino, welcoming adults and young adults over 12 years old. It features 246 rooms, including beachfront 3-bedroom villas and 2-bedroom suites with rooftop pools.
This year, W Costa Navarino introduced spacious two and three-bedroom EWOW Villas providing an inviting retreat for friends traveling together or groups celebrating special occasions. Its latest accommodation offering includes the Wonderful Agora Rooms and WOW Agora Suites, centrally located in the Navarino Agora. Guests can benefit from direct access to an array of restaurants, street food and retail stores, as well as entertainment options and cultural activities.
The resort is home to a number of culinary points, including the Parelía beach club, the Platia – the hotel’s playful take on a deli food market with individual outlets- and the signature all-day W Lounge. Also, to the brand-new Spanish restaurant Piqantro, created in synergy with Michelin star Chef Léon Griffioen. Lastly, Between bar features disco pop sounds, delicious spritzes and festive mood, while Green Pepper is an all-day vegetarian hub.
