The number of Russian tourists visited Spain in January-July 2015 decreased by 37.5% compared to the same period in 2014, to 504 thousand people, according to the Institute of Tourism of Spain. In July, the fall in number of Russian tourists amounted to 41.7%, to 143.3 thousand people. In total for 7 months of 2015, Spain was visited by nearly 38 million international tourists, which is an increase of 4.7% compared to the same period in 2014. Arrivals from the United Kingdom increased by 3.5%, to 8.7 million people, from France – by 7.8%, to 6.1 million, from Germany – by 1.3%, to 5.9 million, from Italy by 7.3%, from Belgium by 8.2%), from Switzerland by 9.1%. Only the number of tourists from Scandinavian countries decreased by 4.6%. In July, the total number of tourists to Spain amounted to 8.8 million people, which is 6.3% more than in July 2014.
