Athens International Airport (AIA) is ranked among the top ten airports worldwide that offer the best traveler experience, according to a survey by DiscoverCars.com.

The popular platform surveyed a total of 3,500 travellers from around the world, who were asked to rank the airports they visited and rate their experience.
DiscoverCars.com found that travelers rated Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” with a score of 8.88 out of 10, which ranks the airport high in the top ten, specifically in an impressive sixth place. In fact, it is the only Greek airport to be in the top 10.
Travellers were invited to submit a written review of the airports they rated as part of the DiscoverCars.com survey. One traveller commented that they had an “easy arrival and departure” at Athens airport and another traveller said that “there were no queues, everything was fine”.
Christchurch Airport in New Zealand was ranked the best airport to travel to, according to the survey. The airport scored an impressive 9.21 out of 10, making it the best airport for travellers.
It is New Zealand’s number one international airport and the second busiest airport in the country ahead of Auckland Airport.
And the second place, however, for the best airports to travel to is also for New Zealand as the country’s Queenstown Airport is found at number 2 in the ranking, with a score of 9.18 out of 10.
