The Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” has been alerted, as according to ERT, a plane contacted the airport’s control tower and requested a runway in order to make an emergency landing.
According to initial information, there was a FULL EMERGENCY indication of smoke in the cockpit of an Airbus 319 aircraft with 150 passengers.
A few minutes later the alarm ended as the aircraft landed and airport operations were gradually restored.
