The largest and most influential exhibition event in our country welcomed 80,284 professionals from every corner of Greece and confirmed that it has a proven ability to guarantee the realization of objectives and commercial success for exhibitors and visitors alike.

It is worth noting that in this year’s event 57% of visitors came from businesses in the region, while 500 international buyers put the exhibition on their agenda. The enormous dynamics and impact of the exhibition on these two key sectors of the Greek economy and its contribution to their development is confirmed even more each year.

Networking & deals between exhibitors and visitors

The exhibition was a key commercial forum, where exhibitors had the opportunity to make contacts with owners and executives of large and well-known hotel units, catering and cafeteria chains as well as successful restaurants and catering and bar catering companies. Also, a very dynamic audience from the wholesale trade and the bakery and confectionery sector was present. Also, among the visiting public were many young entrepreneurs who have in their immediate plans to set up a business in the HoReCa sector and came to the exhibition to find everything they need.

The desire for investment, modernisation and upgrading dominated discussions between exhibitors and visitors and translated into great business deals. At the same time, all the business people who visited this year’s event were impressed by the range of options offered for every need of their business and for many different budgets.

Trends, inspiration and excitement at Special Events

The parallel events of HORECA are an integral part and equally important as the exhibition part. At the HORECA Business Lab, through workshops, case studies and panel discussions, visitors had the opportunity to open their business horizons and learn about developments and trends in digital marketing and management. The national coffee competitions at the Coffee Events stage and cocktail competitions at the Beer & Spirits stage, for the emergence of the top baristas and bartenders respectively, attracted a dynamic crowd that followed them with great interest. At the same time, the issues of sustainable gastronomy and the sustainability of dishes, as well as new trends and innovations in catering were analysed at the Gastronomy Lab by leading names of Greek and global gastronomy. Finally, the exhibition also hosted the 7th International Hospitality Forum by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, the Gastronomy Workshop by Chef’s Club Greece and the Workshop of Posee.
